Children's Choir
Our primary focus is on glorifying God through the gift of music, both vocally and with a variety of instruments.
Grades 1-6
This group helps to lead worship on Sunday mornings throughout the season, including Palm Sunday and Mother's Day. Highlights of the year include singing in the Christmas programs in December, opportunities to present musical gifts and talents to peers for the purpose of growth and encouragement, and preparing to lead worship during our end of year program in June. Our primary focus is on glorifying God through the gift of music, both vocally and with a variety of instruments. Throughout the choir season, students will move through rotations, utilizing bucket drums in the “Rhythm Room” to learn basic rhythm and notation, ukuleles and lead sheets in the “Chord Corner,” and their voices in the “Vocal Village” studying melody and harmony as well as many vocal exercises to support good singing through proper breathing and posture. In addition to music preparation, we utilize a variety of games and activities to create a fun learning environment. We also set aside time to look into God’s Word to learn about why we worship Him.
