There is a quiet struggle in the church that few men talk about. Many of us know it firsthand. We love Christ. We serve Him. We bring our families to worship. And yet, behind the closed doors of our phones and our hearts, something has had a grip on us — pornography, perhaps, or another pattern of sexual sin we have never been able to fully shake. We have prayed about it. We have promised God we would stop. We have tried, fallen, hidden, and tried again. And the longer it goes, the heavier the silence becomes.
If that is your story, you are not alone — and you are not unloved by the God who knows.
The first thing the gospel does for a man caught in this place is to draw a careful line between two things that often feel the same but are not. There is guilt — the honest conviction of the Holy Spirit that names truly so we can repent and be forgiven. And there is shame — the suff ocating verdict that whispers, “you are the sin.” Guilt drives a man to the cross. Shame drives him into hiding. From Genesis 3 onward, that has been the pattern: when sin entered, the fi rst instinct of the human heart was to cover up and disappear into the trees. The same instinct lives in many of our hearts today.
What shame says is this: “If I were fully known, I would be rejected.” But the gospel speaks a stronger word. In Christ, you are fully known and fully loved. His forgiveness is real. His righteousness is yours. Your identity is no longer your worst secret — it is “in Christ,” beloved of the Father, indwelt by the Spirit. And the call He gives is not to manage sin alone, but to walk in the light alongside other brothers who know the same Savior and are fighting the same fight. That is what the Oaks of Righteousness Sexual Integrity Groups are for.
Pray about it. Talk to the Lord honestly. If He is stirring something in you, take the next step. Confidentiality is built into how the groups are run. Your story is safe.

The first step out of the shadows is rarely loud. It is usually a quiet “yes” to the Spirit, and a willingness to stop hiding in the trees. The Father is not waiting with rejection. He is waiting with grace.
