Parent & Child Dedication

At Immanuel Bible Church, we affirm that God commands parents to be the primary spiritual influencers in their children’s lives (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Children are a gift from God and parents should teach them the Word of God, pray for them daily, and model the gospel in their homes. We as a church, desire to support the family in this endeavor through the prayers and ministries of the church. Parent and child dedication is not a ritual leading to salvation, but a simple ceremony that expresses the parent’s commitment to guiding their children in the ways of the Lord.

We have two Parent & Child Dedication ceremonies each year.  The first is on Sanctity of Life Sunday in January; the second is on Mother’s day in May.  Registration is required for participation and first-time participants must attend a Parent & Child Dedication class prior to the Dedication Ceremony.
