When Trust Breaks
A Gospel-Centered Support Group for Women
GROUPS WILL START IN NOVEMBER AND RUN FOR 13 WEEKS
There is a particular kind of pain that enters a woman’s life when a husband’s sexual sin, pornography use, secrecy, or deception comes into the light. The discovery can change how she understands her marriage, her memories, and even herself. She may feel grief, anger, confusion, fear, or shame—and wonder whether anyone in the church will understand.
If that is part of your story, you are not alone. You are not responsible for another person’s sin, and you do not have to carry its consequences in isolation. The God who sees you draws near to the brokenhearted. He does not rush your grief, minimize what happened, or require you to pretend that trust has already returned.
The gospel gives women something stronger than denial and safer than isolation. In Christ, your identity is not defined by what was done to you. You are known by God, united with Christ, welcomed as His daughter, and invited to walk in truth within the care of His people.
When Trust Breaks is a gospel-centered support group for women carrying the effects of a husband’s sexual sin and betrayal. Together, participants will consider what Scripture teaches about grief, shame, wise speech, Christian community, repentance, forgiveness, and the rebuilding of trust.
The group will not pressure women to disclose private details or compel reconciliation before repentance and safety have been carefully considered. Participants may pass during discussions, and concerns involving coercion, abuse, danger, or serious deception will be directed toward appropriate pastoral and safeguarding care.

We hope you will join us beginning in November. This group will meet weekly for 13 weeks.
Facilitator Training
We are also preparing women to serve as facilitators for the upcoming When Trust Breaks pilot groups at Immanuel Bible Church.
Saturday, October 10
9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Monday, October 19
9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A food break will be provided at both trainings.
Facilitators need to attend only one training day.
Please choose whichever date works best for your schedule.

The training will prepare facilitators to lead with biblical faithfulness, compassion, appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and sensitivity to the different circumstances women may be facing. A facilitator is not expected to become a therapist, investigator, rescuer, or sole source of support. Her role is to guide women toward Christ, Scripture, wise community, and the appropriate pastoral and safeguarding pathways.
