Music & Worship Ministry
Welcome
The Lord has been gracious to Immanuel for many years by supplying godly people who serve well, many being talented musicians and those gifted in the area of fine arts. Our mission is to glorify God by loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to use music and the arts to exalt God, build up the believer in Christ and reach those who do not yet know Jesus.
The purpose of our various ministry teams is to be a pure and passionate team of true God worshippers who, by being examples in both word and deed, turn people’s focus toward the Lord and edify one another through biblically-based music.
You are encouraged to participate in one or more Sunday morning worship services. Christmas concerts add another opportunity to minister (a 3-month commitment). The Easter Pageant offers the opportunity to minister with music, drama, and the orchestra

Music & Worship Ministries
Choir
The choir is an ensemble of nearly 100 people who love to use their voices to praise the Lord and lead others in worship. Music reading ability is not a prerequisite, but being able to sing a voice part successfully and harmoniously with others is necessary. Ministry opportunities include participation in two or more Sunday morning worship services as well as seasonal concerts.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7–9 pm. Concert rehearsals require some Saturdays.

Orchestra
This full, forty piece orchestra provides music for all Sunday morning services. Worship is greatly enhanced with instrumental preludes, accompaniment to congregational and choral singing, and occasional offertory selections. Musicians should be of high school-level ability or above. Ministry opportunities include participation in two or more Sunday morning worship services as well as seasonal concerts.
Current Position Openings: Clarinet, French Horn, and Viola.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7–9 pm.

Drama
Our mission is to bring glory to God by communicating the Word of God and the Love of God to believers and unbelievers through the medium of drama.
There are many areas where you can be of service in this exciting ministry. Several include:

Bell Choir
Group number: limited to 11 players
Times of practice: Sunday evenings 7:00pm-830pm, September thru May
Performance for worship: approx. 4 times a year and during the Christmas season
Group Leader: Sandy Kester
Handbells is a group of ringers that meet weekly to practice their musical instrument with the goal of play during worship services quarterly and seasonally. Reading music is not a prerequisite but it helps. Periodically, we go together and hear other handbell groups' concerts and have taken a workshops when they are local. We are a warm and fun group and do a lot of laughing during rehearsals.
